Seattle Ski Club

For over nine decades, the Seattle Ski Club has been a beacon of winter sports excellence. As a non-profit entity, our primary mission is twofold: to foster the love of winter sports and to offer a welcoming haven to skiing, snowboarding, and mountain enthusiasts of every age.

Established in 1929 by pioneering Norwegian immigrants, the Seattle Ski Club holds its roots in the thrilling tradition of ski jumping on the slopes of Beaver Lake at Snoqualmie West. These visionaries quickly transformed into a pivotal force, catalysing the initial growth and promotion of winter sports at Snoqualmie Pass. The club's legacy includes hosting numerous ski competitions that drew hundreds of onlookers.

Today, the Seattle Ski Club remains steadfast in its dedication to the mountain community. Our members benefit from a year-round mountain retreat situated at the base of the Snoqualmie Summit slopes. This exceptional location provides ski-in/ski-out convenience, parking, gear storage, and comfortable sleeping arrangements. From families embarking on their first downhill journeys to skilled ski racers and backcountry explorers, the club offers an idyllic backdrop for a diverse array of winter pursuits.

Our membership base proudly encompasses ski-oriented families, ski patrollers, instructors, and a myriad of other mountain devotees. The club's diverse member base reflects our commitment to promoting winter sports for all.
